SCOUTING THE PEACOCKS
Saint Peter's is in its first season under Shaheen Holloway, and are led in scoring by over 17 points per game from Davauhnte Turner. Sam Idowu also scores in double figures for SPU, who has dropped three in a row. 

SPU HEAD COACH SHAHEEN HOLLOWAY
Shaheen Holloway is in his first season at the helm of the Peacocks, and has six wins to his credit. He previously spent time on Kevin Willard's staff at Seton Hall as an assistant coach. 

HAWKS ON THE ROAD
Monmouth has just two road wins and only one in MAAC play, with both coming in overtime. This marks MU's sixth MAAC road game, with MU going 1-4 in the previous five with a double OT loss to Quinnipiac included in that number. The lone win was an overtime victory at Siena. 

SPU AT HOME
Saint Peter's has a winning record at the Yanitelli Center, with five of their six wins coming in Jersey City. SPU is 2-1 in MAAC home games, most recently falling to Manhattan.

SERIES NOTES VS. SAINT PETER'S 
-SPU leads the all-time series 25-14.
-Since becoming MAAC foes, the teams have each won six times.
-Monmouth took the first meeting this season in West Long Branch, 61-44.
-The combined score of the 12 MAAC games between the teams have totaled a 15-point differential in favor of MU.
-Monmouth is 2-3 at the Yanitelli Center since joining the MAAC, dropping the last two meetings.

DEFENDING THE THREE
In the win over Rider, Monmouth held the Broncs to just four made three-pointers, the best defensive effort for the Hawks this season. On the day, MU limited Rider to 19% from deep (4-21), also the Hawks' best defensive showing of the year against the three.

SEVEN MAAC WINS
Monmouth is tied for the most wins in the MAAC to this point, with MU and Rider each winning seven times. The Broncs hold the first place lead by a half game, having played one less game than the Hawks to this point. The seven victories matches Monmouth's number of league wins from last season.

SALNAVE IN CLUTCH TIME
Ray Salnave has now scored to tie or put Monmouth up in the final minute of a game five times this season (at Hofstra, at Penn, at Quinnipiac, vs. Iona, vs. Rider). He has two game winners to his credit, both coming inside the final three seconds of the game in wins at Penn in overtime and vs. Iona.

LOCKING DOWN AT HOME
Monmouth is giving up 59.5 points per game at home against MAAC opponents this season, holding both Saint Peter's and Manhattan under 50 points. Against the Jaspers, MU allowed just two two-point field goals in the opening half. Four of Six MAAC teams to come into the OceanFirst Bank Center have failed to reach 60 points, with only Iona and Rider topping the mark.
