BOSTON, MA/STATEN ISLAND, NY- Competing with a partial team, the Monmouth University men's track and field team went on to win the Crimson Elite meet at Harvard University on Friday night. Junior
Khalid Slocum would register two wins in the 60-meter dash and the long jump to lead the Hawks to victory. Graduate student Allie Wilson would also go on to beat her own school record in the 800 meters on Saturday at Boston University. A number of Hawks also competed at the Scarlet and White Invitational at Boston University and the Villanova Invitational at OceanBreeze Athletics Complex.

CRIMSON ELITE
- The men won the meet with 64 points by beating out teams across the Northeast including in-state rival Princeton and hosts Harvard.
- Slocum won the 60-meter dash by only .001 seconds as he crossed the finish line in 6.772.
- Slocum would also go on to win the long jump with a jump of 23'11.5".
- Montel Johnson took second in the weight throw with a mark of 55'6.5" while teammate
Brandon Davis placed 5th (52'1").

Darius Howe placed fourth in the triple jump with a jump of 47'11".

Andrew Huisman (51'11.25") and Davis (49'5") placed 4-6 in the shot put.

Tim Van Cauwenberge cleared 6'6.25" in the high jump to place 5th.
- For the women, Patrice Baston finished fourth in the long jump with a mark of 18'9.25".
- The women would accumulate 9 points to place 12th overall.

Corey Murphy went on to win the shot put once again with a throw of 61'3".

Nadale Buntin finished 4th in the 400-meter dash with a IC4A qualyfing time of 48.51 seconds.
- Harrison Bickmore took third in the high jump by clearing 6'5.5".
- For the women, Briana Stratz finished as the top collegian in the 500 meters by crossing the line in 1:14.85.
- Allie Wilson broke her own school record in the 800 meters by finishing as the second best collegian with a time of 2:05.14. This time is now top 10 in the nation for the event.Â
- Kyra Velock placed 6th in the 1000 meters with a time of 2:54.09.
NEXT UP
- The Hawks will return home to host the Monmouth Collegiate Invitational on Friday and Saturday in the OceanFirst Bank Center. A number of field events will be held on Friday while a full day of track and field events will take place on Saturday. A group of Hawks will also travel to New York City for the Millrose Games at the New York Armory.
