EDISON, NJ – Seniors Allison Taub and Corey Murphy were named MAAC Female and Male Field Performers of the Week by league officials earlier today. Both are coming off of dominating performance in the shot put at the Wagner Indoor Invitational on Friday night. Taub and Murphy joins junior Nioami Miranda (December 4) as Hawks that have been honored by the league on the young season.

Taub receives this week's honors after winning the shot put at the Wagner Indoor Invitational with a mark of 48'0.5" (14.65 meters). This mark is now the second best women's shot put in school history and qualifies her for the ECAC Championships in March. Taub is now honored in the MAAC's weekly awards for the second time in her career after earning reignition during the 2018 outdoor season on April 24.
 
Murphy's dominance in the shot put continued this past Friday at the Wagner Indoor Invitational by winning the event with a throw of 59'3" (18.06 meters). This mark was over 8 feet more than the second place finisher and qualifies him for the IC4A Championships. Murphy was honored in the MAAC's weekly awards a total of three times last indoor season.
 
Taub, Murphy and the rest of the Hawks will travel to Lehigh University this Saturday for the Angry Birds Invitational.
