COLORADO SPRINGS, CO - The Monmouth University women's swimming team was recognized by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) when the organization announced its Scholar All-America Teams for the Fall 2018 semester.
The award celebrates teams that achieved a grade point average of 3.0 or higher during the 2018 Fall Semester. Monmouth's women's swimming team has earned the award in six out of the past seven semesters.
"Being selected as an Academic All-America Team was a goal that the group set before the start of the fall semester," head coach
Matt Nunnally said. "I am excited to see the women's team recognized by the CSCAA for their effort in the classroom."
The 22 members of the women's team accumulated a grade point average of 3.42 and were one of six Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference teams to be recognized. At the Division I level, the Hawks were one of 175 women's swimming teams to receive the honor.
Founded in 1922, the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) – the oldest organization of college coaches in America – is a professional organization of college swimming and diving coaches dedicated to serving and providing leadership for the advancement of the sport of swimming & diving at the collegiate level.
