SCOUTING THE GREAT DANES
Albany enters with a record of 2-6, and are led by Ahmad Clark, who is averaging over 19 points per contest after scoring just over 3ppg a season ago. Redshirt freshman Cameron Healy has put in over 17 points per game. Albany has a win over MAAC

ALBANY HEAD COACH WILL BROWN
Will Brown is in his 17th season at the helm at Albany, and has led the Great Danes to five NCAA Tournaments and three other postseason tournaments. The last season he didn't take Albany to a postseason tournament was 2011.Â
HAWKS ON THE ROAD
Monmouth is 0-5 in true road games this season, falling at Colgate and Saint Joseph's before a trip to #10/9 Kentucky. The Blue and White are 0-8 away from West Long Branch, dropping three neutral site games in Myrtle Beach. MU is in the midst of a four-game road swing, its longest of the season.
ALBANY AT HOME
Albany is 1-2 at home this season, with losses to Boston University and Holy Cross with the lone win coming over D3 SUNY Oneonta.

-The teams met for the first time in 1999.
-Albany's lone win in the series came in the 2011 NIT Season Tip-Off in a game played at George Mason.
-MU outscored Albany 52-35 in the second half last year after trailing by nine at the intermission.

SALNAVEÂ GOES BIG
Ray Salnave scored a career-high 22 points and made a career-best eight field goals in Monmouth's tight loss to Hofstra. He also tied a career-mark in dishing out seven assists, and netted the go-ahead bucket with just over 30 seconds remaining on a stop-and-start drive to the rim.
PLAYING ALL 40
In the contest at Hofstra, Ray Salnave played all 40 minutes for MU, the first Hawk to do so since Justin Robinson in the 2017 NIT against Ole Miss. Salnave became the first Hawk to play all 40 in a regular season game since Robinson did it at Canisius on 1/16/17.
SEASON HIGHSÂ
Monmouth shot its highest percentage of the season at Hofstra, besting the 50% mark for the first time this season in knocking in 28-of-55 shots. MU also made eight triples and topped a season best in assists with 17.
QUINN BREAKS THROUGH
Diago Quinn posted his best contest of the season against Hofstra, going for 13 points and six rebounds including an and-one opportunity late in the close game. He drew four fouls on the night and blocked a pair of shots for the second game in a row.Â
RUTTY TO THE STARTING FIVE
Monmouth freshman Nikkei Rutty started his first career game against Hofstra, becoming the first true freshman for Monmouth to start at a forward/center spot since Diago Quinn on 12/6/15 at Niagara.Â
