SCOUTING THE TIGERS
After opening the season with a win over Division III DeSales, Princeton has dropped two in a row to Lehigh and Fairleigh Dickinson. Devin Cannady saw his first action of the season against FDU, finishing with 21 points, while Myles Stephens is averaging 19 through three games.

HAWKS AT HOME
Monmouth is 0-1 at the OceanFirst Bank Center this season, and return home for the first time in 19 days after an opening night setback to Lehigh. MU was 6-6 in West Long Branch a season ago.

PRINCETON ON THE ROAD
Princeton is 0-1 on the road this season, falling at Lehigh in their second game of the year. The Tigers were 5-9 last season away from Jadwin Gym.

BIG SAM WITH A BIG HALF
|Monmouth big man Sam Ibiezugbe posted a career-high 11 points on a career-best four made field goals against Cal State Fullerton, all of them coming in the second half. He also snagged a career-mark of three steals, all of this coming in 14 minutes against the Titans. Ibiezugbe also went 3-4 from the foul line, the most free throws he has made in a single contest.

RICE AND HENDERON MATCH UP
Today's head coaches have both been at the helm of their respective institutions for eight seasons, playing each other twice with each head man winning at home. Rice and Henderson were named head coaches just 21 days apart, with Rice taking over MU on March 30, 2011 before Henderson secured the Princeton job on April 20, 2011.

AN ALL-TIME NOTE
Monmouth and Princeton have played two of the 12 lowest scoring games in the NCAA shot clock era, including the lowest combined scoring game in NCAA history. MU topped Princeton 41-21 on 12/14/05, with Princeton's 21 points marking as the least ever in the shot clock era until 2008, when George Washington held Saint Louis to just 20 total points. The 1999 matchup between the teams finished with 72 total points, a 37-35 Tigers win, the 12th least points in a game in NCAA history.

TWO DIFFERENT LINEUPS
After finishing near the top of the country last season, King Rice has held some consistency in the starters in the early going this year. He has featured just two different combos, with Nick Rutherford, Ray Salnave, Deion Hammond and Mustapha Traore starting every game. Marcus McClary started the first two before Louie Pillari started three in a row, with McClary jumping back into the starting five the last time out against Cal State Fullerton.

TAKING ON NCAA TOURNAMENT TEAMS
The Blue and White will play five teams in non-conference play that qualified for the 2018 NCAA Tournament. Only seven teams nationally are slated for more than four including MAAC-rival Canisius (5) and several power-five programs, including North Carolina, Kansas, Kentucky, and Florida. MU has scheduled preseason ranked teams West Virginia and Kentucky, as well as league champions Bucknell and Penn. MU took on a fifth NCAA team from last season in Myrtle Beach against Cal State Fullerton.

UP NEXT
Monmouth will play Kentucky at Rupp Arena on Wednesday night at 8:30 p.m. on the SEC Network.
