WILLIAMSBURG, VA – William & Mary scored a goal with 2:06 left in regulation to secure a 2-1 victory over the Monmouth University field hockey team, Friday night at Busch Field. Senior
Rachel Konowal scored the lone goal for the Hawks, who fall to 2-1 on the season.
After playing a scoreless first half, William & Mary (2-1) broke the ice 2:49 into the second half as Emma MacLeod redirected a pass to put the home team ahead 1-0. Konowal registered her second marker of the year on a penalty stroke in the 62nd minute before Woodward Hoopers' goal in the 68th minute proved to be the difference.
