WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ – After sweeping MAAC opponents Saint Peter's, Niagara, Fairfield, and Siena, the Monmouth University men's tennis team earned its fifth straight 7-0 conference victory over Rider. Earlier in the day, the Hawks defeated Ramapo by an identical 7-0 outcome. Christian Vieira and Alberto Giuffrida both earned two singles victories and two doubles victories on the day. Nicola Pipoli and Przemyslaw Filipek took care of business at #1 and #2 singles against Rider, before also earning wins during doubles play. Ale Gomez Estrada picked up wins at #1 singles against Ramapo and #3 singles against Rider, while also taking the 6-0 #1 doubles win with Filipek against the Broncs. Monmouth improves to a perfect 5-0 in MAAC play, and will face similarly undefeated Marist this Saturday.
