WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ – After sweeping its previous four opponents, the Monmouth University men's tennis team earned its fifth straight win at home over Hofstra this afternoon, 6-1. Nicola Pipoli led the way with a 7-5, 6-4 win at #1 singles and also won at #2 doubles with Alberto Giuffrida, 6-4. Przemyslaw Filipek also earned two wins on the day, handling Hofstra 6-0, 6-1 at #2 singles and taking the 6-4 win with Ale Gomez Estrada at #1 doubles. Gomez Estrada, Giuffrida, and Sergio Martinez also earned wins during the singles portion, while Christian Vieira and Vikrant Dahiya picked up the 6-3 victory at #3 doubles. Â
