WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ- Monmouth guard
Justin Robinson (Lake Katrine, NY/Kingston) has earned his second straight Associated Press All-America honorable mention, the first Hawk in school history to pick up two All-America honors.
Robinson has earned numerous postseason accolades, completing his senior season by leading the MAAC in scoring en route to a second straight Player of the Year and third consecutive First Team showing. He was named ECAC Player of the Year as well as All-District by both the NABC AND USBWA. The 5'8" guard averaged 19.7 points per game as a senior and finished in the top-five at Monmouth in scoring, assists, steals, three pointers, field goals made, and minutes played as well as reaching the 2,000 point plateau in the NIT against Ole Miss. Only Robinson and Ron Kornegay have ever topped 2,000 points in a Monmouth uniform.
Robinson is the first two-time All-America honorable mention and the third Hawk in history to be listed, along with Rahsaan Johnson in 2001 and Blake Hamilton in 2005.
