WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J.- Monmouth baseball's Wednesday contest against Lafayette was stopped in the bottom of the second inning due to heavy rain and lightning in the West Long Branch area. The game was canceled with MU batting.

Monmouth is back on the diamond this weekend for a conference matchup with Canisius. First pitch for Saturday's doubleheader is set for noon at the MU Baseball Field.
