BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Junior Ramy Bekhiet (Robbinsville, N.J./Robbinsville) and sophomore Richard Chen (Shanghai, China/Pendleton School) combined five total victories to lead the Monmouth University men's tennis team at the Lehigh Fall Invitational.
Bekhiet picked up a pair of singles victories over counterparts from both Stevens and Lehigh. The third-year Hawk downed the Ducks' Michael Feldman, 7-6, 4-6, 6-2 before earning a come-from-behind victory over the Mountain Hawks' Collin Nardella, 3-6, 6-0, 6-4. Chen earned a 7-5, 0-6, 7-6 win over Kyle Henry of Stevens.
In doubles play, the duo teamed up for a 8-4 win over Stevens' tandem Kyle Henry and Feldman, while Bekhiet, along with sophomore Christian Vieira (Houston, Texas/Memorial), earned a 8-4 win over Jeremy Kockman and Ben Gilman of Lehigh.
The Hawks will wrap up their fall slate this weekend at the annual ITA Regional Championship in New York.
