WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. - Monmouth University senior keeper Bryan Meredith (Scotch Plains, N.J. /Scotch Plains-Fanwood) has been named to the Second Team Top Drawer Soccer Team of the Season, the organization recently announced.
"This is wonderful recognition for Bryan," said Monmouth head coach Robert McCourt. "He has had another terrific season and a wonderful career."
Meredith, who was named the Northeast Conference Tournament Most Valuable Player, was among the nation's statistical leaders all season in having another tremendous campaign as MU's keeper. He earned his first all-league first team honor this year after making the second team a season ago. The senior captain led the NEC in goals against average (0.51), save percentage (84.2%) and shutouts (nine) at the end of the regular season.
Meredith now ranks 11th in the country in goals against average, ending his stellar collegiate career with 36 shutouts and a 44-7-10 record.
