2011 (Fifth-Year): Started all but one contest for the Blue and White...Recorded a defensive save against No. 5 Syracuse (8/27)... Fired three shots, all on target, against Lehigh (9/9)... Registered an assist in the win over Vermont (9/17)... Connected on two shots at Rutgers (9/18) and added a defensive save... Assisted on a goal at Temple and saved a shot from the back line (9/25)... Assisted on a goal in the regular season finale at Robert Morris (10/30).

2010 (Senior): Started 18 of the 19 games she saw action in... Had an assist against Richmond (9/4)...Added a helper in victory at Sacred Heart (10/15)...Registered career high five shots against the Pioneers...Found the back of the cage for her first career goal against Siena (10/22)...Recorded the game winner against Quinnipiac (10/17).

2009 (Junior): Started all 21 games for the Hawks... Recorded an assist against Delaware (10/16)... Tabbed one shot at Quinnipiac (10/18).

2008 (Sophomore): Appeared in one game for the Blue and White against Maine (9/13).

2007 (Freshman): Played in 12 games, making four starts... Had one shot on goal against Bucknell (9/1).

High School: Four-year letterwinner in field hockey at Shore Regional High School in West Long Branch, N.J... Member of the Shore Conference Champion Blue Devils, who won the title for the eighth straight year in 2006... Helped Shore to 37th straight Division title as a senior... Also earned three letters in softball, two in swimming and one in lacrosse... Member of the Shore Conference and NJSIAA Sectional Champions in lacrosse her senior season.

Personal: Born Melissa Ann Murphy on July 10, 1988 in Oakhurst, N.J.  ... Daughter of Wendy, a Monmouth University graduate, and Patrick Murphy... Great grandfather was former Supreme Court Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes... Majoring in history with a minor in elementary education.
