Richmond, VA — The Coastal Athletic Association announced its weekly field hockey winners Monday with Monmouth earning two selections, as junior midfielder
Milla Frye and freshman defender Maja Schroder named as the Offensive and Rookie Players of the Week, respectively.
Frye (Ratingen, Germany/Immanuel-Kant Gymnasium) lands her second career CAA weekly recognition with her first coming in 2024. She collected her second following another dominating week, as she currently paces the Hawks offense in goals (8), assists (3) and points (19).
Frye aided in a 4-2 victory over Temple Friday after making her fifth straight start, totaling four shots in 49 minutes of action. She was the catalyst in a dominating performance against Wagner Sunday, as she re-set a career-best with four goals and nine points, tying both single game program records in the process. Frye finished the afternoon with four goals and an assist on a game-leading seven shots in 46 minutes of action.
Schroder (Berlin, Germany/Sportschyle im Olympiapark) had a career day against the Owls Friday, providing critical minutes off the bench to stymy a late comeback. Schroder assisted on the game-opening goal and then tallied her first career goal 20 seconds later to help in the eventual, 4-2 win.
