WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. – Monmouth women's lacrosse hall of famer Heather Bryan Capuzzi was inducted into the New Jersey Lacrosse Hall of Fame on Tuesday night.

The former Hawk, who played for Monmouth from 1998-2001, is one of 11 inductees as part of the Class of 2026 that was honored at the Fiddler's Elbow Country Club in Bedminster, N.J.

One of the most decorated players in Hawks program history, Capuzzi graduated in 2001 as Monmouth's all-time leader in goals (186) and points (251) and is still the top goal-scorer in the 31-year history of the women's lacrosse program.

"A Hall of Famer. A game changer. A Hawk. A huge congratulations to Heather on her induction into the NJ Lacrosse Hall of Fame," said current Monmouth Head Coach Jordan Trautman. "A well-deserved honor recognizing her incredible dedication to the game and decorated career. We're proud that Monmouth has the privilege of being a part of her remarkable lacrosse journey."

In her four years on The Jersey Shore, Capuzzi was a two-time All-America selection and a four-time All-Region selection for Monmouth. She was the captain that led the Hawks to their first NCAA Tournament appearance after winning the NEC regular season and tournament title in 2001.

A four-time First Team All-Northeast Conference selection, Bryan was also the conference player of the year in 2000 and 2001. She was also named the Monmouth Female Athlete of the Year in 2000 and 2001.

Capuzzi was inducted into the Monmouth Athletics Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2013.
