TOWSON, MD. —Monmouth completed a series sweep with a 3–1 comeback victory over Towson on Sunday at Tiger Softball Stadium.

After two scoreless innings, Towson struck first in the bottom of the third with an RBI single to take a 1–0 lead. Monmouth responded late, rallying in the sixth inning when Sammy Miller reached on a fielder's choice bunt and advanced to second on an error, allowing Giana Scotti to score the tying run.

The Hawks carried that momentum forward, as Miller moved up on a wild pitch to bring home Gianna Stern with the go-ahead run. Monmouth added an insurance run in the seventh, when Carah Sumpter lifted a sacrifice fly to score Ella Stevinson.

The comeback sealed the sweep for Monmouth. 

NOTES AND NUMBERS 

• The Hawks won their fourth straight CAA game while securing the first sweep of the season against a conference foe this season
• Alissa Eimont picked up her ninth win of the season. She dominated the afternoon, allowing just one earned run while striking out a game-high of five batters
• Dominique Lopez and Kaitlynn Place led the Hawks offensively with two hits on Sunday
• Sammy Miller and Carah Sumpter tallied the lone RBIs for the Hawks
• Monmouth held a 9-5 edge in hits on Sunday
• The Hawks hit nine singles on Sunday with no extra base hits
