PHILADELPHIA  — Behind a career-high performance from Divine Dibula and a gritty effort in two overtimes, Monmouth women's basketball outlasted Drexel, 62–60 on Sunday afternoon at the Daskalakis Athletic Center.

Dibula delivered one of the most dominant performances of her career, posting career highs with 24 points and 15 rebounds, while anchoring the Hawks on both ends of the floor during a physical, back-and-forth battle that featured 10 lead changes and seven ties. Tied 60-60 Dibula grabbed an offensive rebound and made the second chance layup to give Monmouth the 62-60 lead with four seconds left. Drexel got the ball back and didn't have any timeouts, but the Hawks defense made one last stand to secure the win.

The Hawks weathered a slow start and trailed by five at halftime, but responded with a strong third quarter. Monmouth held Drexel to just six points in the period, using a 17–6 run to take a six-point advantage heading into the fourth.

Dibula controlled the paint throughout the afternoon, finishing efficiently from the field and going 10-for-12 at the free-throw line, including several key makes late in regulation and overtime.

The fourth quarter saw neither team able to pull away. Drexel tied the game in the final seconds of regulation, forcing overtime after a late three-pointer evened the score at 46.

In the first overtime, Dibula continued to lead the charge, scoring and rebounding through contact as the Hawks matched Drexel basket for basket

Clutch free throws and defensive stops sealed the victory, as the Hawks outscored the Dragons 6–4 in the final period to secure the road win.

Gigi Gamble added 11 points and knocked down a crucial three late in regulation, while Kathy Kersaint contributed timely scoring and rebounds off the bench. Monmouth finished with 15 bench points and forced key turnovers down the stretch.
