Summer Reimet Tabbed CAA Offensive Player of the Week

September 08, 2025

RICHMOND, Va. – For the second time this season, Monmouth women's soccer forward Summer Reimet was named the Costal Athletic Association Offensive Player of the Week, the conference announced on Monday.

Reimet, who also won the award on Aug. 25, was an instrumental part in the Hawks' victories over Harvard and St. John's this week, scoring three of the team's four goals and putting seven shots on net.

In the squad's 2-1 road victory against Harvard on Thursday, the senior opened the scoring with a goal in the ninth minute, using her left foot to finish Clara Ford's in-swinging cross. She also hit the woodwork late in the second half and put two other shots on cage, helping the Hawks earn their first victory over an Ivy League opponent since 2013.

The Ocean City, N.J., product continued her form on Sunday, netting both goals in Monmouth's 2-0 shutout of BIG EAST opponent St. John's at Hesse Field. She wasted no time finding the back of the net, rifling a shot into the bottom corner less than two minutes after the opening whistle. 88 minutes later, with the Hawks clinging onto a one-goal advantage, Reimet was on the receiving end of Lindsey Husic's booming pass and buried the score that would clinch Monmouth its first five-game winning streak in two years.

Sunday was the fourth time in the last two seasons that the CAA's Preseason Player of the Year has scored multiple goals in a game. With her three-goal, six-point week, she is now in sole possession of 11th place on the program's all-time goals list with 29. Her 69 career points are tied for 15th-most in Monmouth history.

Through seven games this season, Reimet leads the conference with six goals, 13 points, .86 goals per game, 1.86 points each contest and a .727 percent shot accuracy. Her goal count is 11th-best nationally.

Reimet and the Hawks will have a full week off before going for their sixth-straight win on Sunday on the road against Columbia. Kickoff in the team's non-conference finale is set for 1 p.m. at Rocco B. Commisso Stadium in Manhattan.
