The remainder of the first half was primarily played in the midfield. Harvard put two shots on goal late, but Miller made a pair of strong stops to keep Monmouth up two heading into the break
The Hawks went back on the attack to start the second half, as
Chloe Messer and Reimet forced each forced Stewart to make saves in the first 12 minutes of the period. Harvard took over momentum for the next 10 minutes, firing three shots in a four-minute span, hitting the crossbar once. The Crimson finally broke through in the 69
