RICHMOND, Va. – Monmouth women's soccer freshman Evangeline Perdomo was tabbed the Coastal Athletic Association Rookie of the Week, the conference announced on Monday.

Perdomo scored the Hawks' lone goal in their 1-1 draw on Sunday against Columbia, marking the first score of her collegiate career. Through eight team games, her three points are second-most on the team among freshmen, only trailing Marie Bogue's four points. In seven games played so far, the rookie has made three starts and is averaging 40 minutes per contest.

The Bay Shore, N.Y., product earns the fourth weekly honor this season for the Hawks and is the second to win Rookie of the Week after Bogue garnered the distinction on Aug. 25. Summer Reimet was named CAA Offensive Player of the Week on Aug. 25 and Sept. 8.

The Hawks finish the non-conference portion of their schedule with a 5-2-1 and will open CAA play on Thursday at home against Charleston. Kickoff from Hesse Field is set for 6 p.m. on FloSports.
