WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. – Monmouth Men's and Women's Cross Country Head Coach Damon Godfrey announced the teams' incoming 2025 freshman classes on Tuesday.

The men's squad brought in six newcomers, while the women's team added seven rookies.

Men's Cross Country – Freshman

• Connor Brand – Annadale, N.J. / North Hunterdon / 16:21.5 5k personal record
  • Brand was a recipient of the Lehigh Valley All-Area Award for cross country in 2024.
• Michael Card – Howell, N.J. / Howell
  • Card was a three-time Monmouth County champion in high school and was named All-Monmouth County in 2024 for cross country.
• Enzo Corona – Marlton, N.J. / Cherokee / 15:43.96 5k personal record
  • Corona earned seventh place at the Olympic Conference Championships and was named to the all-conference squad in 2024.
• Noah Klugman – Goshen, N.Y. / Goshen High School / 16:33.8 5k PR
• Rohan Moore – Pasadena, Md. / Northeast Senior / 16:28 5k PR
  • Moore was tabbed to the Baltimore All-City First Team in his senior season.
• Devon Piccone – Haverstraw, N.Y. / North Rockland / 16:08 5k PR
  • Piccone was a seven-time all-county selection in track and cross country and added three all-league honors for cross country. He also qualified for states for cross country in 2025.

Women's Cross Country – Freshman

• Jessica Borchert – Bridgewater, N.J. / Bridgewater Raritan Regional / 19:46 5k PR
  • Brochert was tabbed to the all-conference first team in 2023.
• Mackenzie Bua – Hasbrouch, N.J. / Hasbrouck Heights
  • Bua was a four-year all-league cross-country selection.
• Payton Campbell  - Macungie, Pa. / Emmaus / 18:36 5k PR
  • Campbell was a first-team all-area selection and a second-team all-state cross country honoree in 2024.
• Casey Collins – Manahawkin, N.J. / Southern Regional / 18:58 5k PR
  • Collins was a first team all-county selection for cross country from 2023-2025.
• Avery Errico  - Easton, Pa. / Wilson Area / 18:42 5k PR
  • Errico was a First Team All-State PIAA cross country selection in 2024 and was a three-time state cross country medalist.
• Elaina Rainwater – Philadelphia, Pa. / Phil-Mont Christian / 18:33 5k PR
  • Rainwater finished third at cross country states last year and holds the Phil-Mont Christian 5k record.
• Leah Rutledge – Howell, N.J. / Freehold Township / 17:42 5k PR
  • Rutledge was a second-team all-state selection in 2025 and First Team All-Monmouth County in 2024

The men's and women's cross-country squads will kick off their seasons next Friday, August 29, at the Temple Owl Invitational in Ambler, Pa. The Hawks will compete in six meets this fall before hosting the CAA Championships on Oct. 31.
