STONY BROOK, N.Y. – Giana Scotti launched her third home run of the season and Monmouth plated three early runs, but host Stony Brook used a nine-run first inning to pull away in a 14-3 decision on Saturday afternoon at University Field.

Monmouth collected six hits in the contest, led by freshman
Kylee McLain and junior
