Hawks Roll to Victory Over Saint Peter's

JERSEY CITY, N.J. Monmouth women's basketball dominated from start to finish on Sunday night, rolling past Saint Peter's 66–38 at the Yanitelli Center.

Alexis Davis gave Monmouth the early 2-0 lead on a layup, and the Hawks never looked back from there on Sunday. 

Fresh off a career-high performance, Divine Dibula powered the Hawks once again  on both ends, finishing with 14 points and 10 rebounds on a perfect 6-for-6 shooting night.

The Hawks never trailed in Sunday's game, using a huge second-quarter surge to break the game open. After leading 13–9 after the first 10 minutes, Monmouth erupted for a 21–7 second quarter, fueled by three three-pointers in the first half from Kellyn Preira

Monmouth's ball pressure created problems all game. The Hawks forced 25 turnovers, turning them into 31 points and a 22–5 advantage in fast-break scoring. The Hawks also controlled the paint, winning the interior battle 28–14.

Monmouth closed strong with a 22-point fourth quarter, pushing the lead to as many as 28 to secure the convincing road win and move to 4–4 on the season.
