Dibula Nets Career-High 21 Points in Win over NJIT

WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. – Behind a career-high 21 points from Divine Dibula, the Monmouth women's basketball team rolled to a 77–68 win over NJIT on Wednesday night at the OceanFirst Bank Center.

Dibula finished one point shy of a double-double, adding nine rebounds while shooting an efficient 9-of-12 from the field. NJIT shot 23-of-53 (47.2%) from the floor.

The first quarter was tightly contested, with both teams trading baskets throughout. Alexis Andrews knocked down a three-pointer with 20 seconds remaining in the opening frame to pull Monmouth within five.

Kathy Kersaint's triple with 5:01 left in the second quarter gave the Hawks a 29–26 lead—a lead they would not relinquish for the rest of the night. Monmouth extended its advantage to 40–34 by halftime, its largest of the opening half, after a late layup from Davis with 43 seconds left.

NJIT trimmed the deficit to three multiple times in the third quarter and early in the fourth, but Monmouth never allowed the Highlanders to get any closer. The Hawks controlled the final period, outscoring NJIT 21–17 to secure the victory
