Friedman Earns Second Team All-CAA Accolades

RICHMOND, Va. – After leading the Hawks in scoring, Monmouth University men's soccer senior Jakob Friedman has been named Second Team All-Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) in voting done by the league's head coaches.
 
Friedman received postseason accolades for the first time in his career. 
 
The senior midfielder scored a career-high four goal this season. He tallied the game-winner at La Salle. He also had a goal in three straight matches in late October. 
 
Friedman ranked among the CAA leaders in assists throughout the regular season. His eight helpers are a career-high this season. Friedman had two assists in the win over Drexel and had another two-assist night in the victory over Temple. He had a stretch in September in which he registered at least one assist in four straight matches (9/2-9/16). 
 
Friedman finished the regular season ranked ninth in the CAA for goals (4), second in assists (8) and fourth in points per game (1.07).
 
Friedman and the Hawks start play in the CAA Tournament when they visit No. 2 Stony Brook on Thursday, Nov. 6 at 6:00 p.m.
