Two Hawks Earn Preseason Recognition from Coastal Athletic Association

West Long Branch, NJ - The Coastal Athletic Association recognized two Monmouth women's lacrosse student-athletes while also unveiling the result of the annual coaches' poll.

Set for its third CAA season, Monmouth finished seventh out of nine teams in the predicted order-of-finish. Two-time defending champion Stony Brook earned preseason favorite status.

Seniors Caroline Brennan and Danielle McNeely are two of eight student-athletes league wide who earned Preseason All-CAA Honorable Mentions. Including a 12-member Preseason All-CAA Team, a total of 20 players received recognition ahead of the 2025 campaign.

Earning a spot on attack, Brennan scored 41 goals in 15 games last season. She ranked sixth amongst CAA leaders in goals per game (2.73). The Keystone State product has tallied 125 goals through 50 career games wearing Blue & White.

McNeely, a midfielder, accounted for 30 goals and 17 assists as a junior. The two-way player led the Hawks with 19 caused turnovers in 2024 and produced four-goal performances twice against CAA opponents.

The Hawks open the 2025 schedule on the road against Colgate on February 7 at 4 p.m. ET.
