KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Monmouth University men's soccer seniors Olle Brorsson and Gabe Dahlin were named to the United Soccer Coaches (USC) Players to Watch List as defenders. 
 
Brorsson and Dahlin were honored after leading the Hawks to a share of the 2023 Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) Regular Season Title and helped the Hawks reach the CAA Championship match. 
 
"I'm very happy to see Olle and Gabe receive this recognition," said head coach Robert McCourt. "They both had tremendous seasons last year and played a big part on our success in 2023. Their leadership on and off the field is of great value to our program."
 
Brorsson took home USC Second Team All-Region accolades after earning Third Team All-CAA honors in 2023. He started 16 matches last fall and helped the Hawks hold 14 opponents in that stretch to one goal or less. Brorsson played a key role in five of Monmouth's shutouts this season. He scored the first two goals of his career to lift the Hawks to a 2-0 win at Stony Brook. He was named the CAA Defensive Player of the Week and to Top Drawer Soccer and College Soccer News Team of the Week for his efforts in that contest. 
 
Dahlin earned USC Second Team All-Region for the first time in his career after being a First Team All-CAA selection last fall. He was a key cog in the defensive unit for the Hawks. He started all 18 matches and helped the Hawks hold 16 of 18 opponents to one goal or less, including seven shutouts. Dahlin also tallied the first two goals of his Monmouth career as he scored at Delaware and against Northeastern.
