Wyatt Hunt was named the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) Rookie of the Week by league officials on Monday.

Hunt was honored for the first time in his career after helping the Hawks win their second straight CAA series. He becomes the fourth Hawk to be honored by the league this season (
Drew Helmstetter – Mar. 4,
Alec Couture – Apr. 8,
Kevin Opanel – Apr. 29).

Hunt turned in a career performance at the plate in Friday's game-one 9-7 win over Delaware. He was 4-for-4 with a walk at the dish in that contest. Hunt had a two-run double in the sixth inning that tied the game at that point at 4-4. He singled in the eighth and scored on a wild pitch to put the Hawks up 8-6 at that point.

Hunt went 2-for-3 with a double and a run scored in Sunday's contest at Delaware.Â

He finished the week hitting .500 (6-for-12) with two doubles, two RBIs and two runs scored.Â

On the season, Hunt is hitting .278 with nine runs scored and nine RBIs.Â

Hunt and the Hawks return home on Friday, May 10 to host Campbell in their final home series of the year.Â
