Hawks Fall to Princeton on Wednesday

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton Tigers blanked the Monmouth University Softball Team Wednesday to win their 20th game of the season, 3-0.

Three Hawks – Dani Dabroski, Bri Lawson, and Lexi Castaneda – managed to record a hit, but Princeton scored twice in the fourth inning and never looked back. The Tigers led off the frame with a solo home run and tacked on another on a one-out double. Princeton also added an insurance run in the sixth on an RBI groundout. Lawson led the Monmouth offense with two singles, as she was the only Hawk with multiple hits.

Starting pitcher Ana Rodriguez went the full six innings in her 10th start of 2024 allowing three earned runs on eight hits. The senior struck out two and walked three as she took her fifth loss of the season.

- Giana Scotti started her first career game.
- Dabroski is the second Hawk to reach 40 hits this season.
- Lawson now has four multi-hit games and has two hits in four of her last five games.
