BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Kiley O'Rourke drove in two runs in the game two victory as the Monmouth University split a Saturday doubleheader versus CAA foe Campbell at Amanda Littlejohn Stadium.
O'Rourke slapped nearly identical RBI singles to left center in the first and third innings, driving in the game's first two runs.
Bri Lawson followed with a run-scoring knock to right field,
Abby Warner hit a sacrifice fly, and
Devin Coia doubled to mark a four-run third inning for Monmouth for a 5-0 lead.
Campbell scratched four straight runs across in the middle frames, but
Kait Mulcahey came in and shut the door for her first save of the season to secure the 5-4 Monmouth win.
Campbell took game one by a final of 3-1.
Billie Kerwood went 6.0 innings striking out six but fell to 8-10 overall in the circle.
