STATEN ISLAND, NY – The Monmouth University Track and Field Team wrapped up its regular season at the Garden State Track Club Invite on Friday evening at Ocean Breeze.

Gretel Jelmert won the women's pole vault event with a clearance of 3.66m – a new personal best and the fourth-best mark in school history. Freshman
Faith DeCarlo finished in second with a mark of 3.35m.

LeConte Stover shined in the men's 60m hurdles as he finished in first place with an 8.57 mark.
Brandon Muir and
James Burrus Jr. placed second and fourth in the 60m dash with times of 6.94 and 7.09, respectively.

Kevin Collura placed third in the men's 800m with a time of 1:56.79, and Tomas Barry finished second in the men's mile with a time of 4:11.89, falling short of the program's freshman record by a quarter of a second.
Aaron Guensch placed fourth in the mile at 4:16.98, while
Katie Miller also finished in fourth with a time of 5:14.47 on the women's side.
Thomas Schulz set a new personal record in the men's 3000m with a time of 8:40.49 and placed fourth at the meet.

On the weekend, 11 Hawks placed inside the top-five for their respective individual events.

The Hawks will compete at the CAA Indoor Championships next week. The two-day meet begins Thursday, February 22, and will take place at the Armory.
