RICHMOND, Va. – After factoring in both goals in the road tie at Stony Brook, Monmouth University women's soccer freshman Ashley Lavrich was named the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) Rookie of the Week by league officials.
 
Lavrich takes home her third CAA Rookie of the Week award this season. The Hawks as a team have now had at least one player honored in six of the first eight weeks of the season. 
 
Lavrich factored in both goals in Thursday's 2-2 come from behind tie at Stony Brook. Lavrich picked up an assist on Monmouth's first goal of the day before scoring the game-tying goal in the 87th minute. 
 
Lavrich registered two shots in the Hawks' 1-0 win over Delaware on Sunday. 
 
This season, Lavrich has four goals and six assists for 14 points. Her six assists lead the team and is tied for second in the CAA. Lavrich is also tied for sixth in the CAA in points per game (1.08).
 
Lavrich and the Hawks return to action on Thursday, Oct. 10 when they visit Campbell for a 7 p.m. match.
