RICHMOND, VA ­– Four Monmouth University Athletics programs have earned 2022-23 Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Team Academic Excellence Awards, the league announced Tuesday morning.

Field Hockey, Women's Golf, Women's Rowing, and Women's Tennis become the first Monmouth programs to be recognized for the yearly CAA award after the school's inaugural season in the conference. Out of 11 different CAA schools that were represented on the list, Monmouth led the way with four awards, with each team finishing with a GPA of 3.5 or higher for the school year.

The Team Academic Excellence Award recognizes the institution with the highest collective grade point average in all 22 sports sponsored by the CAA. The team GPA is a calculation of the grade point average of each student-athlete who appeared on an institution's roster throughout the final day of their respective championship seasons during the 2022-23 academic year.
