HAMPTON, VA – Monmouth University Baseball racked up 13 hits and 10 runs to take a second straight game from Merrimack College, topping the Warriors on Saturday 10-7.
Phil Stahl and
Mason Wolf drove in three runs apiece, while
James Harmstead hit his first home run of the season.

After Merrimack jumped to a 3-0 lead, Stahl drove in two with a base hit to right, sparking a five-run third inning for the Hawks.
Ben Winstead knocked in a run with a sac fly before Wolf drove a two-run double to right center, making it 5-3.

Merrimack scored twice in the fifth to get even at five only to see Harmstead's solo home run put MU back on top. Later in the same inning, Wolf would triple home a run and
Casey Caufield would add an RBU single to make it 8-5. Merrimack got within 8-7 before run-scoring hits from Stahl and Winstead in the eighth made it 10-7, the eventual final.
