WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ – Monmouth University Baseball dropped the series finale of a three-game set to Elon University Sunday, 18-5.
Phil Stahl extended his hitting streak to 16 games for MU, while
Austin Denlinger notched a multi-hit afternoon.

Monmouth was on the board first, with
James Harmstead lining a sac fly to center to make it 1-0. MU starter
Jem Sisco escaped trouble in each of the first two innings, inducing ground ball double plays to end each frame.
Brady Mutz' RBI single through the right side made it 2-1 Hawks, but Elon responded with five in the third to take the lead. The Phoenix would tack on seven in the sixth and five in the seventh, with MU scoring a pair off an error in the sixth.
