WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ – Monmouth University Men's Basketball got a final defensive stand to cap a double-digit second-half comeback on Saturday over Drexel University, 69-67 to capture a third win in a row in CAA play.
Tahron Allen led all scorers with 19 points for MU.

Monmouth trailed by 12 in the early stages of the second half before a 14-0 run put Monmouth up three, capped by
Jarvis Vaughan tying it in transition and Allen netting a three-point play to put MU on top. Luke House hit a triple to give Drexel the lead back at 8:31, but Allen tied things again and a
Klemen Vuga block led to
Jack Collins nailing a go-ahead three in transition with 6:38 to go. Drexel regained a five-point lead, but the Hawks used a 6-0 run to go back in front.
Myles Foster was fouled with a minute to play and made two free throws to give the Hawks a two-point lead, and MU got two stops, including one on the final possession to force a Drexel off-balance three at the buzzer that came up short.

Monmouth scored the first two baskets of the game to take an early lead, but Drexel used a 13-0 run to push in front.
Tahron Allen's runner cut it to 32-26 at the 4:04 mark, and Allen later converted a driving three-point play to send MU to the break down 42-30. Luke House had 15 in the opening period for Drexel.
