WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ – Four members of the Monmouth University men's soccer team were named to the All-Atlantic Region Teams by the United Soccer Coaches on Monday.

Ben Zakowski took home first team honors while defenders
Olle Brorsson and
Gabe Dahlin earned spots on the second team. Goalkeeper
Eryk Dymora was selected to the third team.Â

It is the most all-region selections for the Hawks in a single-season since they had four in 2011 (RJ Allen, Ryan Clark, Max Hamilton, Anthony Vazquez).

"To have four players get recognized as All-Region players is an incredible achievement," said head coach Rob McCourt. "These guys have had great seasons on the field and are doing very well in the classroom. As student-athletes they are fantastic ambassadors for Monmouth Soccer."

Zakowski becomes the seventh player in program history to earn all-region accolades three times in his career and the first since Matt Jeffery (2012-14). Zakowski earned First Team All-Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) honors after a breakout final season for the Hawks. He started 17 matches and led the Hawks with 12 goals and one assist for 25 points this season. Zakowski ranked second in the CAA for goals and points while being tied for the lead in game-winning goals. He scored a pair of goals in a game twice this year and a four-game goal scoring streak earlier this year.  Zakowski scored four of his goals on penalty kicks, including one in the CAA Championship match. His six game-winning goals is tied for third national.Â

Dahlin earned all-region for the first time in his career after being a First Team All-CAA selection earlier this season. He was a key cog in the defense for the Hawks. He started all 18 matches and helped the Hawks hold 16 of 18 opponents to one goal or less, including seven shutouts. Dahlin also tallied the first two goals of his Monmouth career as he scored at Delaware and against Northeastern.Â

Brorsson took home all-region accolades after earning Third Team All-CAA honors earlier this fall. He started 16 matches this season and helped the Hawks hold 14 opponents in that stretch to one goal or less. Brorsson played a key role in five of Monmouth's shutouts this season. Earlier this year, he scored the first two goals of his career to lift the Hawks to a 2-0 win at Stony Brook. He was named the CAA Defensive Player of the Week and to Top Drawer Soccer and College Soccer News Team of the Week for his efforts in that contest.Â

Dymora earned all-region honors for the first time in his career after taking home First Team All-CAA accolades earlier this fall. The Hawks currently rank in the top 25 nationally for save percentage and goals against average thanks to Dymora's efforts in net. Dymora played all 1660 minutes for the Hawks this season and had a 0.81 goals against average and a .783 save percentage. He had seven shutouts to his credit and made three or more saves in 11 games this season. Dymora had a career-high seven saves in the win over Northeastern earlier this fall. He scored the penalty kick in the CAA semifinals that sent the Hawks through to the CAA Championship match.Â
