LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ – The Monmouth University women's basketball team hit a season-high 12 three-pointers en route to a 62-42 win at Rider University on Saturday afternoon. The Hawks snapped a two-game losing streak with its first win at Rider since 2015-16.

The Hawks sprinted out to an early lead in this one as a pair of early three-pointers from
Kaci Donovan helped the visitors take an 8-0 lead. Donovan's fourth triple of the period at 1:22 extended the Monmouth advantage to 19-4. Rider got a pair of late free throws, but the Hawks led 19-6 after one.Â

Monmouth continued to push the tempo in the second quarter. A pair of baskets from
Belle Kranbuhl made the Hawks' lead to 32-13 with 3:42 remaining in the period. The Hawks eventually took a 34-15 lead at the break.Â

A triple from Donovan and a basket from
Taisha Exanor to open the third quarter gave Monmouth its largest lead of the game, 39-15 with 9:22 left on the clock. The Hawks maintained a lead of at least 14 points over the final nine minutes of the period and held a 46-29 advantage after three.Â

A pair of three-pointers from Donovan, sandwiched around a
Jaye Haynes bucket pushed the Monmouth advantage to 54-31 with 7:03 to go in the fourth. The Hawks and Broncs traded baskets down the stretch as Monmouth claimed the 62-42 win.Â

- Monmouth improved to 31-24 all-time against Rider. The two sides met regularly when they were both members of the MAAC. Monmouth has won two of its last three against Rider but it was the first win in Lawrenceville since 2015-16.Â

Kaci Donovan's 23 points in the contest were a season-high and one off her career-high of 24, set last year at Northeastern.
- Donovan's seven three-pointers were the most by a Hawk since Sierra Green hit eight against Navy during the 2018-19 season.Â
- Donovan's fourth triple of the game was the 100th of her career. She is the 15th player in program history to reach that mark.Â
- The 12 three-pointers were the most by a Monmouth team since the 2019-20 team had 12 against Marist.Â

Taisha Exanor had a career-high 15 points for the Hawks.
