CANTON, MA – Monmouth University Women's Golf opened the 2022-23 season this week with a strong showing at the Boston College Intercollegiate. MU placed fifth in the 16-team field in Head Coach
Mark Bryson's coaching debut.
MU was led by sophomore
Ava Lozito, who placed T19 individually including an opening round 75. Making her collegiate debut, Sophia Ramirez Velandia finished 25
th with a 76 to open up.
Liddie McCook fired MU's best round in the final 18 with a 74, while
Paige Diecidue was just behind her for the weekend.
Claire Orr rounded out the MU lineup.

"Pleased with our play in the first event of the season. The conditions were challenging with the wind picking up in the afternoon both days. -The Hawks finished fifth in the 16-team tournament, finishing just ahead of Creighton and Boston University.
