WOMEN’S SOCCER DROPS CLOSE CONTEST TO ELON, 1-0

ELON, N.C. – The Monmouth University women's soccer team lost a tightly contested match to Elon on Sunday afternoon, 1-0.
 
The only goal for the Phoenix came in the 53rd minute off a set piece following a Monmouth foul. Emilia Cappellett sent the ball into the box on a free kick, connecting with Isa Murdock who headed it in the back of the net.
