CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Monmouth University men's soccer team fell to the College of Charleston on Saturday afternoon, 3-1.
The Courgars took a 2-0 lead into halftime after scoring in the 21
st and 36
th minutes. The home side received a penalty kick opportunity 50 seconds into the second half and converted, pushing the advantage up to 3-0.
Kristian Loenvig found the back of the net for the second time this season off an assist from
Ben Zakowski in the 63
rd minute, cutting the deficit to two goals, but the final 27 minutes of the match remained scoreless.
