CAA ANNOUNCES MONMOUTH BASKETBALL’S LEAGUE SLATE

WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ – Monmouth University Men's Basketball's first Colonial Athletic Association schedule was announced Tuesday, featuring 18 games beginning with MU's first ever CAA contest on December 28 against UNC Wilmington.
 
The first league game across the conference all season long will be in West Long Branch, when MU hosts UNC Wilmington on December 28 in the first CAA contest in program history. The Hawks have an early bye weekend before hosting Stony Brook on January 5 before a three-game road swing takes Monmouth to Drexel, Hofstra and Towson in mid-January.
 
The Hawks will host College of Charleston and Hampton on January 19 and 21 before a weekend trip to North Carolina to take on UNCW and North Carolina A&T closes out the month. MU opens February with a home weekend against Delaware and Drexel before a midweek trip to Stony Brook on February 8. Hofstra and North Carolina A&T come to the OceanFirst Bank Center on February 11 and 13 before a trip to Northeastern on the 16th. The final home game of the year is set for February 18 against Elon before MU travels south to Hampton and William & Mary to wrap up the regular season.
 
Monmouth will not travel to College of Charleston, Delaware or Elon while Northeastern, Towson and William & Mary won't make the trip to West Long Branch as part of the league's schedule this season.
 
The 2023 CAA Championships are set for March 3-7, 2023 at Entertainment & Sports Arena in Washington, DC.
