HAMDEN, CT – Three Hawks homered, but Monmouth University Baseball (17-16, 7-2 MAAC) dropped the final game of a weekend series Saturday at Quinnipiac University (9-20, 3-6 MAAC), 13-7.

QU plated single runs in the first and second before opening it up with a four-run third to lead 6-0. MU got back in it with back-to-back homers from
James Harmstead and
Joey Ventresca, but a five-run Bobcat fifth made it 11-2. MU fought back with three in the sixth, sparked by a two-run single from
Casey Caufield, and two in the seventh on
Phil Stahl's second home run in as many games, but it wasn't enough, falling 13-7.
