WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. – The Monmouth women's basketball team got back into the win column after topping Marist, 55-42, on Wednesday night at OceanFirst Bank Center.

The Hawks (14-14, 9-10 MAAC) led by one, 19-18, before going on a 12-4 run in the final 5:04 of the second quarter. That run helped the Hawks build a lead that they held for the remainder of the contest en route to securing the win over Marist (8-19, 6-13 MAAC).

For the second straight outing,
Belle Kranbuhl capped her night with one miss from the field after shooting 9-of-10 for a season-high 18 points. The second-year center logged seven rebounds and swatted three shots.

Stella Clark finished with eight in the scoring column with a game-high six assists, while
Jania Hall and
Brianna Livingston chipped in with eight points apiece.
