MONMOUTH TOPS SAINT PETER'S IN OVERTIME, 66-62

WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. – The Monmouth women's basketball team captured a 66-62 overtime MAAC win on Monday night against Saint Peter's at OceanFirst Bank Center.
 
The Hawks (12-8, 7-4 MAAC) went into the half trailing by five, but outscored the Peacocks, 24-10, in the third quarter to grab the lead. Monmouth led by as much as 11, 55-44, with six minutes left to play before Saint Peter's (8-12, 5-6 MAAC) closed out regulation on a 15-4 run to force overtime.
 
In the overtime period, the Peacocks were held without a made basket and only generated three points from the foul line as the Hawks went on to secure the home win.
 
Jen Louro led Monmouth on the offensive end after dropping a season-high 16 points on 6-of-12 shooting while connecting on 4-of-6 from long range. Belle Kranbuhl asserted herself in the low block and finished the game with 15 points to go along with seven boards and six blocks.
 
Stella Clark worked her way into double-digit scoring with 10 points. The Sea Girt, N.J., native added five rebounds, eight assists and two steals to her stat line. Kaci Donovan logged eight in the scoring column, while Lucy Thomas chipped in with eight as well to pair with eight rebounds.
