WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ – Monmouth University Women's Golf has been selected fifth in the conference's preseason poll, league officials announced Saturday. The Hawks received 47 votes, and were just one vote shy of fourth.
Quinnipiac received five first-place votes and were chosen first, narrowly edging out Albany by one vote. Dayton was picked third, followed by Fairfield who was just a single point ahead of MU. Monmouth topped Hartford, Siena, LaSalle and Niagara in the ranking.
Michelle Melia's roster contains four seniors and four juniors as well as two freshmen and come off a fall in which they won the Hawk Invitational and freshman
Ava Lozito captured medalist honors.
