Sabrina Solomen were named 2021 NFHCA Division I Scholars of Distinction, it was announced by the organization on Tuesday. The Scholars of Distinction program recognizes student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.9 or higher through the first semester of the 2021-22 academic year.
Nechay saw playing time in two games for the Hawks this season and holds a 3.90 GPA as a business administration major. Solomen, who is enrolled in the speech-language pathology graduate program, appeared in all 18 games for the Blue and White including 11 starts, notching two assists while holding a cumulative GPA of 3.91.
Monmouth was represented by 21 student-athletes on the 2021 NFHCA Division I National Academic Squad last week, pushing the total number of honorees under 15-year head coach
Carli Figlio to 185. The team's overall fall term GPA was 3.43.
