BALTIMORE, MD – A fourth quarter rally allowed Loyola University to battle for a 61-59 comeback win over the Monmouth University women's basketball team on Wednesday night in Reitz Arena.
Lucy Thomas came off the bench to score a team-high 14 points to go along with six rebounds while
Anaya Coleman did a little bit of everything as she finished with 13 points, five assists and four rebounds.
Lex Therien led the Greyhounds with 19 points.
The Hawks got off to a flying start this one as they led 8-0 early on and 19-8 after one period of play. Monmouth was able to hold on its lead in the second quarter as the visitors took a 33-26 at the half. The two sides battled back-and-forth throughout the third as a jumper by
Belle Kranbuhl in the final minute gave Monmouth a 43-40 lead after three. Loyola outscored the Hawks 21-16 in the fourth for the battle back win.
