LOYOLA COMES BACK TO DEFEAT WOMEN'S BASKETBALL

BALTIMORE, MD – A fourth quarter rally allowed Loyola University to battle for a 61-59 comeback win over the Monmouth University women's basketball team on Wednesday night in Reitz Arena. 
 
Lucy Thomas came off the bench to score a team-high 14 points to go along with six rebounds while Anaya Coleman did a little bit of everything as she finished with 13 points, five assists and four rebounds. Lex Therien led the Greyhounds with 19 points. 
 
The Hawks got off to a flying start this one as they led 8-0 early on and 19-8 after one period of play. Monmouth was able to hold on its lead in the second quarter as the visitors took a 33-26 at the half. The two sides battled back-and-forth throughout the third as a jumper by Belle Kranbuhl in the final minute gave Monmouth a 43-40 lead after three. Loyola outscored the Hawks 21-16 in the fourth for the battle back win.

- Monmouth leads the all-time series with the Greyhounds 8-4. However, Loyola has won three straight in the series.
- Monmouth moves to 1-1 on its current four game road trip.
- It is the second straight game for the Hawks that has come down to the fourth quarter to decide it.
- Six of the seven Hawks who scored in the game had at least six points. 
- Monmouth used the same starting lineup for the third straight game.

NUMBERS CRUNCH
- Monmouth shot better than 50% from the field for the second straight game. The Hawks posted a 51.2% shooting percentage in the contest. 
- For the second straight game the Hawks dished out at least 15 assists. Six different Hawks recorded at least one helper in the contest. 
- Therien and Taleah Dixon combined for 14 points in the fourth quarter for Loyola.
- Thomas finished in double figures for the third straight game as she led the Hawks. 
- Coleman scored in double figures for the second time this season.  
- Coleman knocked down a season-high three shots from behind the arc and dished out five assists for the second straight game. 
- Bri Tinsley matched her season-high with four assists. 
Amiya Carroll had a season-high four rebounds while playing a season-best 13 minutes.

Monmouth heads back to the state of Maryland and plays the third game of a four-game road trip on Tuesday, Nov 21 when it visits the US Naval Academy. Opening tip from Alumni Hall in Annapolis, Md. Is set for 7 p.m. and the game will be broadcast on ESPN+.
