BOSTON, Mass. – The Monmouth University men's soccer team won its second CAA game in a row on Saturday afternoon, defeating host Northeastern by a score of 1-0.
 
Jonas Lyshoj provided all of the offense for the Hawks, with the sophomore managing to find the back of the net in the 52nd minute on a shot from just outside of the box. Chris Morandi and Luke McBeth were credited with assists on the lone goal of the contest.
 
Eryk Dymora notched his sixth shutout of the season, making three saves including a pair in the second half to keep the Huskies off of the scoresheet.
 
MATCH NOTES
-This was the first-ever meeting between Monmouth and Northeastern
-The Hawks have now won three matches in a row, with two of those wins in the conference
-Lyshoj's goal was his first of the season and second of his career
-This was Monmouth's sixth shutout of the season
-It's the second season in a row that the Hawks have tallied at least six shutouts
-Morandi's assist was the first of his career
-McBeth notched his third assist of 2022 and sixth of his career
-Dymora is currently second in the CAA with six shutouts
